Crafters Uniting in Hope for Haiti

As more unsettling news pours in from Haiti, I have pulled together several places where you can find indie crafter-sponsored sales whose proceeds go to charities supporting Haitian Relief. Between now and February 1st, illegible ink will be donating 20% of all Etsy sales to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development Fund.

Baltimore Etsy Street Team (BEST) Haiti Relief: The BEST members have joined together and decided to donate portions of their Etsy sales to Haiti Relief. Click here to see the full list of participating shops and their charities.

Craft Hope for Haiti: The fine ladies of Craft Hope have created an Etsy shop where crafters can donate items to benefit Haiti relief efforts through January 20th. Over $4,000 has been raised in the first few days. All proceeds from the sale of handmade items will go to Doctors Without Borders in Haiti.

Haiti Relief Fundraiser: Each day, crafter and blogger-extraordinaire, Jen Wallace of Indie Fixx, will share a new batch of items you can bid on via the comments. The highest bidder will win the item and pledges the amount bid towards the Red Cross International Response Fund. The item will then be sent out in the mail to you from the artist, crafter or designer who donated it.

You can also give directly to the Red Cross on their website here or donate $10 to Haiti relief by texting “Haiti” to 90999.
